The Ideology Mandate

H. Infinitus LP (Frontier DAO) is an ideology-centric venture investor. The DAO builds its stake in the enabling infrastructures for the next frontier for human civilization. It mandates the Limited Partnership and its manager to understand and advance the ideological frontier by simply seeking the Truth, then buy assets that have enduring importance for an infinite future civilization.

Recent development in frontier technology points to an exponential growth in technological capabilities. Thus it leads us into an unpresedented period in History. Such exponential is driven by ideas, and at the same time produces ideas - an accelerating loop which is both exciting and dangerous.

What's exciting is its infinite potential for future value creation. Because technology platforms build on top of each other¹, every new generations of technology platforms will be produced at a faster pace. This results in faster cycles. When cycles start to overlap with each other, we call that Singularity².

In that exponential trajectory to the Singularity, humans as we know will be transformed, and possibly, transcended. The physical and cognitive capabilities of human will improve by many magnitudes, yet still with the loving soul. That requires extremely capable technology platforms and careful navigation on the ethics of the infinitum.

What's dangerous are the catastrophic risks. There are many types of global catastrophic events, ranging from cosmic or natural disasters to out-of-control AI and bio threats. The acceleration in frontier technologies make many possible existential risks more likely, and creating possibilities for risks previously unimagined.

Yet one specific type of catastrophic risk is a global totalitarian government. When frontier technologies are in the hand of a single global totalitarian regime, the human civilization will face permenant stagnation. That means the end of history and our civilization. The political implication of this is the destruction of way of life, on top of the infinite value loss for the future. Among all catastrophic risks, this is the most likely, thus a decisive rejection of totalitarianism and proactive prevention³ of it is a mandate for the DAO.
